INTRODUCTION
This course is not suitable for professional users. During this course, you’ll learn how to safely and confidently fell small trees.
OVERVIEW
For professional chainsaw operators working in forestry and arboriculture, the industry recommendation is that for ’high risk‘ activities, a certificate of competence or a nationally recognised qualification with independent assessment should be the minimum requirement. As a result, this course is not suitable for professional chainsaw users.
Using a chainsaw and felling trees are both potentially dangerous activities. Having total confidence and expertise in what you’re doing is essential. That’s where our 2-day course can give you the edge. Our training is delivered by experienced instructors to small groups, so you’ll receive plenty of individual attention. This is a hands-on course that covers both practical skills and health and safety guidance, as well as demonstrating that you and your employer have completed sufficient training to meet the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER). We also use high-quality course materials that accurately reflect current safe working practices.
