PREREQUISITES
Whilst we do not want to disadvantage any learner, a moderate level of fitness is required due to the nature of this training.
INTRODUCTION
Learn the basics of non-professional chainsaw use with this course. This ITA course is not suitable for professional chainsaw users.
OVERVIEW
There is no doubting the chainsaw’s usefulness – nor its power. But in the wrong hands, it is also a very dangerous machine. Our course will teach you how to operate a chainsaw safely and with real confidence. It’s specifically designed for learners who intend to use a chainsaw only occasionally. For professional chainsaw operators working in forestry and arboriculture, the industry recommendation is that for ’high risk‘ activities, a certificate of competence or a nationally recognised qualification with independent assessment should be the minimum requirement. As a result, this course is not suitable for professional chainsaw users.
