WHAT’S COVERED
This 1-day course explores the roles of the contractor and designer in relation to Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015, contract information, and avoiding disputes with all parties. During this course, learners will gain:
- An understanding of the Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2015 and how this applies to the domestic contractor and designer as well as commercial projects
- An understanding of who can be the ‘Principal Designer’ and what their duties include.
- An understanding various roles within a project in relation to CDM and their duties, including the clients
- An understanding of the benefits of Terms of Engagement and contracts
- Skill in project monitoring and dealing with changes in specifications, designs and projects
- Knowledge of how to avoid disputes and what to do if you encounter them
