OVERVIEW
The Lantra Planting and Establishing Woodlands course covers all aspects of planting trees for commercial forestry. At the end of the course, you will receive a certificate of attendance. This is a hands-on course that covers both practical skills and health and safety guidance, as well as demonstrating that you and your employer have completed sufficient training to meet the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER).
THE FINER DETAILS
This course covers how to safely carry out the commercial planting of trees, along with theory sessions that cover the health and safety implications of working with chemically planted trees, biosecurity and relevant legislation. As well as classroom time, you will be taught the practical techniques used when planting trees by a highly skilled, Lantra-approved instructor.
WHO SHOUD ATTEND
This course is designed for anyone employed in planting woodland and forests, particularly those where trees have been chemically pre-treated.
