OVERVIEW
This 1-day site survey training course provides learners with the knowledge and skills to fully understand a site and the considerations that need to be made when planning for future landscaping projects. We will ensure all learners have a full understanding of site survey techniques and know how to capture the correct information from any site.

Here at the Landscape Academy, from our purpose-built base in Cheshire, we provide site survey training to learners throughout Chester, Liverpool, Manchester and beyond. During this course, our attendees will gain:
- An insight into working with clients, designers and contractors and how site surveys can establish positive working relationships and help with accurate pricing
- A comprehensive knowledge of the health and safety requirements for any site, including how to identify potential hazards and ensure the safety of yourself and others.
- An understanding of the potential project considerations required when undertaking a survey to help prevent delays, additional costs and issues during the construction of a site
- A full understanding of how to select the correct materials, tools and equipment for surveying and the potential project
- A full understanding of how to work with measurements, scales, levels, gradients, site variations and how to overcome difficult obstacles you may find on a site
- An understanding of how and where to survey to enable smooth and successful project builds, including the importance of baselines and offsets
- A full understanding of how to assess and survey sites, including techniques to cover all circumstances and environments
- A full understanding of how to competently operate site survey equipment, including the use of traditional techniques, automatic levels (dumpy levels), rotating levels (laser levels) and altimeter levels (zip levels)
- The ability to produce a competent site survey plan for pricing and project construction
- Hands-on training throughout the day to provide learners with real-world practical experience that can be utilised when on site
- Practical assessments to ensure competent understanding
