Do you have any female students?

Here at the Landscape Academy, we provide a welcoming and inclusive environment for all learners. Over the years, we’ve had plenty of female students through our doors and enrolled on a wide range of courses. We’re big advocates for diversity in the land-based industries and want to encourage female students to pursue their passion. Are you sponsored by companies/suppliers?

The Landscape Academy is an independent training facility and we do not receive paid sponsorship to promote courses, tools, products or materials. All the tools and equipment that we use in our courses have been thoroughly road-tested by our team to ensure our learners get the most out of their training.  We are very grateful for the support that those in the landscaping industry have shown us, with  many suppliers donating products to us to help support our learners.

Will I feel like I’m back at school?

We understand that not everyone learns in the same way; that’s why our courses have been developed to cater for all learners. Here at the Landscape Academy, we take pride in the welcoming and relaxing environment we’ve created. Our team takes a no-pressure approach and will work closely with each student to find the most effective learning method for their needs.

Why can’t I book a course online?

We don’t believe in selling any course to anyone; our experts are dedicated to ensuring you choose the right course for you, your requirements and your skill level. If there’s a particular course you’re interested in, contact our friendly team who will be more than happy to make sure it’s the right fit for you.

What time do your courses start?

Our courses usually start between 08:30 – 09:00, however, each course is different. Once your booking has been finalised, we’ll send you all the information you need to know, including confirmation of start times.

Where are your courses located?

Most of our  courses are located at our dedicated training facility based in the village of Great Barrow in Cheshire. However, we do carry out some workshop training across the country. Depending on your requirements, our tutors can also travel to you and deliver courses throughout the UK if needed.

What equipment will I require?

We supply most of the tools, equipment and basic PPE that you’ll need. All students are required to bring their own site safety boots, but we will send you all the relevant information and requirements when your booking is confirmed.

What will I get from the course?

We hope each course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to succeed in that particular area. Some of our courses are Lantra accredited, meaning you will receive a Lantra certificate upon completion.

Who teaches your courses?

Our tutors are all experts in their fields with years of experience and skill to their name. No matter which course you choose, you can have peace of mind that you’ll be taught by a qualified expert with a passion for sharing their knowledge.

How are your courses structured?

While most of our courses cover both theoretical and practical elements, this can vary depending on the subject matter and the course in question. For instance, our hard landscaping courses typically feature lots of practical training as this is key to gaining an understanding of the installation and construction side of landscaping.

Can anyone take your courses?

Our courses have been developed by our experienced team to meet a wide range of industry needs. Whether you’re just beginning your career or you have years of industry experience under your belt, we aim to ensure our courses are accessible for all. Do you present any awards?

We believe all of our students are winners and we don’t give out awards. Learning is a very personal journey and our courses can be a big step for some people, so we’ll never make comparisons between learners. Whether you take one course or five courses, our most important goal is to ensure our training helps every learner to reach their goals.

Is my information kept private?

Yes, all information provided by both parties is treated as confidential. We do not share names, addresses or details with anyone unless required to do so in our duty as an Expert Witness by the courts.

Can I dictate what is put into the report?

No, we base our findings on investigations and the evidence provided. Our reports are factual and neither party can dictate what is put into a report. Our duties lie with the courts, no matter who has appointed or paid for the service.

Why do you ask for full payment upfront?

As Expert Witnesses, our duties lie with the courts and we provide an unbiased view of our findings. To prevent any questions which may bring this into doubt, we require payment in full prior to carrying out our investigation, so it’s clear we are not held liable to one party or the other.
